Holiday Art Show features appearance by Vachagan Narazyan & Trunk show

Holmdel:  James Yarosh Associates Gallery opens the annual Holiday Show with two back to back weekend events.  Saturday, December 2, 2006 will open the season with a reception with the first gallery appearance of a long time artist favorite, Vachagan Narazyan.  The artist, who lives in the Ukraine, has become one of the most recognized artists to exhibit from the former Soviet Union as part of the historical Non-Conformist Art movement.  He will be greeting guests from his easel as he paints during show hours, 12 to 4PM.  New artwork by Alexander Vlasenko and Edward Yashin will also be featured.  The public is cordially welcome to attend.

On Saturday and Sunday, December 9 & 10, in keeping with the gallery’s holiday show traditions, John Wurdeman will co host a Fine Art trunk show featuring over 250 oil paintings from the Moscow School of Russian Realism.  This special event offers a diverse selection of critically acclaimed paintings and has always been one of the most popular exhibits of the year.

“Two major gallery events seemed to just fall into place all in one month,” says gallery owner James Yarosh, “I usually try to create something special for my year end show to add to seasonal festivities as clients seem to like to visit as part of holiday shopping. It’s always a joy to add something new to our collections this time of year.  At last, after eight years of representing Narazyan, it is very exciting for me to be able to introduce him to his collectors coupled with a major exhibit of new paintings just arriving from Moscow the following weekend–amazing!   I just hope it doesn’t snow!”
